The In-Person License To Carry class is taught by a DPS-approved instructor and covers the legal aspects of carrying a handgun in Texas, including self defense, use of deadly force, areas weapons are prohibited, firearm storage and safety, penalties for non-compliance, and much more,  The classroom portion is conducted in Frisco, TX and the shooting proficiency is conducted at one of several area shooting ranges.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants are issued a certificate of completion that they will submit to the state with their LTC application.  

The course includes the state-mandated shooting proficiency test but does not include shooting instruction or practice time.  You must be ready to qualify on the day of the test.
